What some of you have to say about Creativity for Life

Toronto District School Board:

  • Barb Cook, teacher librarian at Shaughnessy P.S. 416.39 " ... a lucky gamble I made three years ago, when I saw her flyer and called. She performed for our grade 4 classes and was so fantastic, we have had her back 5 times in the past 2 years. The staff, students and parents at Shaughnessy Public School consider Cheryl our "resident storyteller". Her many performances have inspired us to learn more about oral language strategies and to realize the importance of using storytelling techniques to meet curriculum expectations. Cheryl's enthusiasm, energy, flexibility and knowledge are inspiring. She is able to adapt her program to fit the needs of our many special ed. students. A day spent listening to Cheryl and watching the students interact with her while performing the stories is awesome!"

  • Camille G. Grade 7 "Cheryl is so cool! Her storybag is filled with hats and dress up stuff and when she reaches inside and pulls things out, it's like entering into a make-believe land!"

Toronto Catholic District School Board:

  • Justin T. Grade 1 "I wish Cheryl could come back again tomorrow to tell us more stories."
