Evening Family Literacy Events
Stories, myths and folktales inspire the imagination and cause children to become curious about the wonderful and diverse world in which we live.
My Family Literacy Event program provides opportunities for the entire school community; parents, children and educators, to experience the benefits of the storytelling tradition as it is shared by people of every culture.
Each event includes:
- Opportunities for students to participate in dramatizing the stories
- Suggestions for how families can build literacy at home through storytelling
- Reading suggestions
- Introduction to Storyvalues Interactive online resource for home use
